Plateau Tourism : Highland meadow plateaus in Denizli include Karayayla Plateau in Kale District, Karagoz Plateau in Cameli District, Bagbasi and Uzunpinar Plateaus in the central Denizli District, Yorgan and Sahman Plateaus in Tavas District, Eseler Plateau in Acipayam District, Suleymaniye Plateau on Mount Sazak in Buldan District, Akdag-Homa Plateau in Civril, and Kuyucak Plateau on Mount Besparmak in Cal District.

Yukari Erikli-Asagi Erikli Plateau : It is 10 km from Honaz District. There are no facilities or accommodations and its road is stabilized rather than paved, but it is completely in a beautiful pine forest with a view as far as Honaz and Pamukkale. There is spring water as well.
Lale Baglari Plateau: This plateau is also in the Pine Forest 3 km from Honaz District. Its road is stabilized and there are no facilities or accommodations here either.

Gundogmus Plateau : This plateau is also in the Pine Forest 5 km from Honaz District. Its road is stabilized and there are no facilities or accommodations.
Suleymanli Plateau: It is 8 km from Buldan District. The road is asphalt. There are accommodations and shopping facilities. The plateau is in a flat and wide area. There is a lake full of rushes surrounded by a pine forest.

Tasdelen Plateau : It is 5 km from Babadag District. Its road is stabilized. There are no facilities or accommodations. The plateau is hilly and covered by pine, chestnut and walnut trees. There are spring water sources. It is a safe place with a beautiful view. Sometimes tourists set up their tents here.
Yatagan Plateau: It's 12 km from Yatagan Town. Especially Kefe Plateau has electricity, taps tents, for hire, picnic areas toilet, shower, market, grossary and several sport activites. Those activites complated by Yatagan Municipality in 2000. Parts of the Yatagan Knives Festival are held here. There are spring water sources. The plateau is in the forest and somewhat hilly.

Topuklu Plateau : It is 15 km from Beyagac District. The road is stabilized. There are no facilities or accommodations and it is somewhat hilly. There is an ancient pine tree forest about 10 km north of the plateau near Kartal Lake which at an altitude of 1903 m.

Karagoz Plateau : The plateau is in Cameli District. Kapuz Cave is also on this plateau. There are spring water sources and a pine forest.


Waterfalls


Guney Waterfall : It is located in Cindere Village, Guney District, Denizli. It is on the Menderes River about 4 km south of Guney District. The waterfall is worth seeing for its natural beauty.

Sakizcilar Asmaalti Waterfall : The waterfall in Sakizcilar Village of Cal District has an amazing natural beauty. The waterfall is called Crying Rock as well. The water drops 30 meters. There is also a fish farm next to it where the water meets the greenery. The picnic area is known as Hocanin Yeri by the locals.

ORNITHOLOGY ( Bird Watching )
Good locations for enjoying birds include the lakes of Isikli, Suleymanli, and Acigol (Beylerli). Gemis Town, which is situated in the ancient city of Anava next to Acigol, is especially important because it is the mating grounds of 203 different kinds of birds including flamingos and ducks.

PHOTO SAFARI

Suitable places for a photo safari especially include Pamukkale, which is in the list of UNESCO's World Heritages. It is very famous with its historical and natural formations. Also don't miss Sakizcilar Waterfall in Cal District, Isikli Lake in Civril District, Mount Akdag, Adiguzel Dam in Guney District, Guney Waterfall, and Suleymanli Lake.

Botanic Tourism

Mount Honaz National Park and Kartal Lake Pine Forest and Nature Preserve are very suitable for Botanic Tourism. The most important feature of Honaz National Park is its flora. The area has drawn the attention of scientists for 150 years. Because of its flora the area was declared as Nature Preserve in 1995. There are 964 kinds of different plants, 122 of which grow only in Turkey. Of these, 43 are native to Mount Honaz. Kartal Lake and its environs are also very rich in flora. There are many different plants native to that area with scientific value. There are more than 200 kinds of plants in the area. The oldest black pine forest is in this area, which is very important because genetically the black pine trees are very different than other trees. The oldest black pine tree is 1266 years old and the average age of the trees is 250-750 years old. The trees are about 30 meters tall and from 1.35 to 4.25 meters around.

There are suitable camping sites in Bayagac and Honaz.
