Ten to fourteen day Turkey tours from Magnificent Travel cover Istanbul, Cappadocia, the Aegean coast (Ephesus, Pamukkale), and the Turkish Riviera (Antalya, Fethiye) in a complete country circuit. Twelve days is the most recommended length for first-time visitors who want to combine inland history with coastal scenery. All packages include licensed guides, hotels, domestic flights, entrance fees, and private transfers.

Turkey has 21 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Packages in this length range cover at least four of them: Istanbul's historic areas, Cappadocia, Ephesus, and Hierapolis-Pamukkale. Longer packages add the Xanthos-Letoon site in the Fethiye region (listed 1988) and the ancient city of Patara.

Destinations Covered in 10 to 14 Day Turkey Tours

Istanbul provides the opening 2 days with Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, and a Bosphorus cruise. Cappadocia adds 2 to 3 nights with the Goreme Open-Air Museum, Derinkuyu underground city, and optional balloon. The Aegean coast covers Ephesus (Celsus Library, Great Theatre, Temple of Hadrian), Pamukkale and Hierapolis, and optionally Troy (90 minutes north of Izmir) and Pergamon. The Turkish Riviera adds Antalya (Hadrian's Gate, 2nd century AD; the Old City; Duden Waterfalls) and Fethiye with Saklikent Gorge, Butterfly Valley, and the Lycian Way.

Suggested Routes by Duration

10 days: Istanbul (2 nights) + Cappadocia (2 nights) + Ephesus (1 night) + Pamukkale (1 night) + Antalya (2 nights). Transfer days account for the remaining 2 days. This is the minimum to include the Riviera.

12 days: Adds Fethiye (2 nights) after Antalya, covering Oludeniz Beach (Blue Lagoon), Saklikent Gorge, and Butterfly Valley. This is the most booked length for a complete Turkey circuit.

14 days: Adds either Gallipoli and Troy at the start (2 days before Istanbul, requiring a drive from Istanbul to Canakkale), or the Bodrum peninsula (2 nights) on the Aegean coast.

Getting Around Turkey on 10 to 14 Day Tours

Domestic flights connect Istanbul to Kayseri for Cappadocia (1 hour 15 minutes) and Istanbul to Izmir for the Aegean coast (1 hour). The coastal section from Ephesus south to Pamukkale, Antalya, and Fethiye is covered by private vehicle on the ground. A return flight from Dalaman (Fethiye area) or Antalya to Istanbul is included on packages ending in the Riviera.

Best Time for a Two-Week Turkey Tour

April through June is the most popular period. Cappadocia balloon flights operate reliably, Ephesus avoids peak summer heat, and the Turquoise Coast beaches are open without August crowds. September and October are equally good. July and August: the Riviera coast is at full summer capacity; Ephesus midday exceeds 38 degrees Celsius.

Standard 12-day packages cover Istanbul (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar), Cappadocia (Goreme Open-Air Museum, Derinkuyu, cave hotel), Ephesus (Celsus Library, Great Theatre), Pamukkale and Hierapolis, Antalya (Hadrian's Gate, Old City), and Fethiye (Oludeniz, Saklikent Gorge). Domestic flights connect the inland and coastal sections.

Ten days covers the main highlights at a brisk pace: Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Pamukkale, and Antalya. Twelve days is recommended if you want to add Fethiye and have time to enjoy each location. Turkey has far more than any two-week trip can cover; the goal is to cover the most significant sites at a comfortable pace.

Ten-day private tours cost approximately 1,900 to 2,600 USD per person based on double occupancy. Twelve-day packages with the Riviera cost 2,400 to 3,200 USD per person. Small group fixed-date departures are typically 25 to 35 percent less. Contact us for a current quote for your travel dates.

Yes. All required domestic flights are included: Istanbul to Kayseri (for Cappadocia), Kayseri to Izmir (for the Aegean coast), and a return flight from Dalaman or Antalya to Istanbul at the end. No domestic flights are required for the Aegean to Riviera coastal section, which is covered by private vehicle.

Yes, on packages of 10 days or more. The Riviera section typically covers Antalya (Hadrian's Gate, Old Harbour, Duden Waterfalls) and Fethiye (Oludeniz Beach and the Blue Lagoon, Saklikent Gorge, Butterfly Valley). Bodrum can be added as an alternative on the Aegean coast.

Yes. A Blue Voyage is a gulet (traditional wooden sailing boat) cruise along the Turquoise Coast, typically from Fethiye to Gocek or Marmaris over 4 to 7 nights. It can replace the Riviera hotel nights on packages of 12 days or more. Contact us to add the Blue Voyage option to your itinerary.

No. Balloon flights cost approximately 180 to 350 USD per person and are arranged separately due to weather dependency. They are available on all packages that include a Cappadocia overnight. Licensed operators offer rebooking or refunds if weather prevents the flight.

Gallipoli can be added to packages of 12 days or more as a 1-day excursion from Istanbul, or as a full day on the road between Istanbul and Izmir. The Gallipoli battlefields include ANZAC Cove, Chunuk Bair, and the Lone Pine Cemetery. Adding Gallipoli is particularly popular with Australian and New Zealand travellers.

Yes. All private tour itineraries are built to your preferences. Common additions include Troy (2 hours north of Izmir), Pergamon (ancient acropolis with a 200,000-volume library), the Bodrum peninsula and its underwater archaeology museum, and the Aspendos Roman amphitheatre near Antalya (capacity 15,000, still used for performances today).

A 12-day Turkey tour covers more of Turkey's coast and inland. Turkey and Greece tours in 12 days split time between the two countries, so each receives less coverage individually. If Turkey is the priority, a dedicated 12-day Turkey program is more thorough. If both Santorini and Istanbul are priorities, the combined tour is the better choice.
