Istanbul travel packages from Magnificent Travel offer 4 to 6-day itineraries combining the city's historic landmarks, Bosphorus experiences, and selected excursions beyond Istanbul. Depending on the package, sightseeing may include Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, a Bosphorus cruise, Bursa, Dolmabahce or Beylerbeyi Palace, and the Princes' Islands.
Packages are designed for travelers who want more than a standalone city tour, combining hotel accommodation and guided sightseeing with airport transfers and regional excursions where specified. Each itinerary offers a different balance of Istanbul sightseeing and experiences beyond the historic center.
What Our Istanbul Packages Include
All three itineraries provide time to discover Istanbul's major historic and cultural highlights, with sightseeing centered on areas such as Sultanahmet and the Bosphorus. Longer packages broaden the journey with experiences outside the core historic district, including Bursa and the Princes' Islands.
The main difference between the packages is therefore not simply the number of nights, but how much of Istanbul and its surrounding region you want to experience.
Choosing Between 4, 5 and 6 Days in Istanbul
| Duration | Travel Style | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 4 Days | Istanbul-focused | Major city highlights and Bosphorus experiences |
| 5 Days | Istanbul + Bursa | City sightseeing with a regional heritage excursion |
| 6 Days | Istanbul + Bursa + Princes' Islands | Broader Istanbul experience with two contrasting day trips |
Four days works well for travelers primarily interested in Istanbul itself. Five days adds Bursa, introducing a different side of Ottoman history beyond the city. The six-day itinerary expands the experience further with the Princes' Islands, combining historic sightseeing with a quieter day away from central Istanbul.
Practical Information for Istanbul
Istanbul is served by Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW), and transfer arrangements depend on the selected package. Many of the city's major historic landmarks are concentrated around Sultanahmet, while Bosphorus sightseeing and excursions such as Bursa and the Princes' Islands extend the experience beyond the Old City.
When to Visit Istanbul
Spring and autumn are popular for Istanbul packages thanks to comfortable sightseeing conditions, while summer offers long daylight hours but busier attractions. Winter provides a quieter city experience and can suit travelers who prefer fewer crowds at major historic sites. Istanbul packages operate across different seasons, subject to the individual itinerary.
Continue Your Journey Beyond Istanbul
Travelers who want to combine Istanbul with several regions of Turkey can continue to our 6–9 Day Turkey Tour Packages or explore 10–14 Day Turkey Tour Packages for a broader journey. For shorter regional itineraries, compare our 3–5 Day Turkey Tour Packages, or return to the main Turkey Tours collection to view all available travel styles.
Istanbul Only or Istanbul with Day Trips?
Choose the 4-day package if Istanbul itself is your priority. The 5-day itinerary is better suited to travelers who want to add Bursa, while the 6-day option combines Istanbul with both Bursa and the Princes' Islands. This makes the longer package particularly suitable for travelers who want contrasting city, heritage, and island experiences without continuing to another major region of Turkey.

Sultanahmet is the closest neighbourhood to all major monuments. The Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace are within a 10-minute walk of most Sultanahmet hotels. Taksim and Beyoglu offer a more contemporary setting on the European side, a 15-minute tram ride from the Historic Peninsula. All Magnificent Travel packages use hotels in one of these two areas unless the client requests otherwise.
Since its conversion back to a mosque in 2020, the Hagia Sophia operates as a place of worship and entry is free for visitors. The interior is accessible outside prayer times. A dress code applies: shoulders and knees must be covered; head coverings are required for women inside the prayer areas. Your guide will advise on the current prayer schedule and optimal visit timing.
