Egypt and Jordan Tours: A Perfect 13-Day Travel Plan

Time plays a role in enhancing your vacation. If you plan to visit destinations like Egypt and Jordan, you need time to explore their major attractions. If you are short-pressed for time, then there is every possibility that you don't experience the place optimally. So when on an Egypt-Jordan tour, there is ample time for quality exploration. Let us outline a detailed 13-day travel plan for the combined destinations.

Day 1 – Arrival at Amman

The Egypt and Jordan tours by Magnificent Travel will begin with your arrival at Amman Queen Alia Airport. You will meet your tour operator’s representative ere who will handle your transport to your hotel. The accommodations will be ready, and you can check in for a restful day and overnight stay in Amman.

Day 2 – A trip through Madaba, Mt. Nebo, the Dead Sea, and Petra

The second day of your Egypt and Jordan tour will be eventful. You can leave the hotel after breakfast and drive to Madaba to see the St. George church. From here, you can visit Mt. Nebo. In the next part, try to dive into the Dead Sea, which will be impossible (as you will invariably float on the sea surface). You will be at Petra for the night.

Day 3 – Explore Petra

On the third day, you can explore Petra, or the red rose city. See the Treasury, which is the most stunning monument, and continue on the Street of Facades and head for the Royal Tombs. After the day's exploration, you will drive back to Amman.

Day 4 – Head for Egypt

On the fourth day, you bid goodbye to Jordan and head for Egypt. You board a flight from the Amman airport and head for Cairo airport. Here again, you will be escorted by your tour operator’s guide and driven to your hotel accommodation.

Day 5 – Trip to Pyramids

On this eventful day, you begin your journey with a visit to Memphis to witness the stunning ancient architecture of the colossal statue of King Ramses II, the pyramids built for Pharaohs, and the iconic Sphinx.

Day 6 – Egypt Museum and Citadel

Begin your sixth day with a tour of the Egyptian Museum and proceed to the Citadel of Saladin. The architecture of the Alabaster Mosque and the Ottoman Tomb will dazzle you. Also see the Abu Sera church, hanging church, and other architectural structures, which date back to the 5th century.

Day 7 – Trip to Luxor

On the seventh day, you will take a flight to Luxor. Once you land, you will proceed to the Nile cruise. On this cruise, you will see diverse attractions like the Karnak temple, Unfinished Propylon, and 134 gigantic columns. You will stay at Luxor for the night.

Day 8 – Visit to the West Bank

If on the seventh day you were on the east bank, on the 8th day you will visit the West Bank of the Nile and see places like the Valley of Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut, and other structures. At the end of the day, you will sail to Edna and remain on board for the night.

Day 9 – Visit Edfu and Kom Ombo

On the ninth day of the tour, you will visit the temples in Edfu and Kom Ombo. These are some of the most iconic structures and show you the grandeur of Greek and Pharaonic architecture. These temples are the best-preserved structures.

Day 10 – Aswan Sightseeing

Your visit to Egypt is incomplete if you do not explore Aswan and see some of the iconic structures in its old Port city on the banks of the Nile. See places like the Unfinished Obelisque, the High Dam. You will stay at Aswan overnight.

Day 11 – Visit to Abu Simbel

On this day, you will be transferred to Abu Simbel. This is the historic site known as Meha in ancient times. Once you are at the location, you can see the ancient temples which are dedicated to gods, the powerful Pharaohs and their significant queens.

Day 12 – Day trip to Alexandria

On the second last day of the tour package, we will arrange for an overnight trip to Alexandria. Here, you can see the Alexandria Library, the Roman Amphitheatre, and Pompey's Pillars.
